We are in the first year of development with the scholarships and their requirements, but in the year 2003, we will bw awarding THREE scholarships in the amount of $1200, $1000 and $800.
These will be one time awards which can be applied for every year the applicant is eligable, but not to exceed more than four years total in awards.
The deadline was established as August 15, 2003, for the applications to be turned in, and we are now awaiting the decisions of the selection committee.
The scholarships will be awarded at our Buckeye Morgan Challenge Horse Show
on September 6, 2003 at 6 PM. Winners need not be present, but a representitive would be appreciated.
*** Applicants must have been a member of OMHA for atleast 2 years out of the past 4 years, before the application is submitted.
*** They must have shown or been involved with the Morgan breed for atleast 2 years, and will provide a detailed essay of their involvement and
why think they should get or are in need of the scholarship.
*** Age requirements: 18 to 22 years old, and must be SINGLE.
*** They have been accepted or applied to a college and will provide the name
and contact information.
*** You DO NOT have to be going to college to pursue a career in the equine field in order to receive one of our scholarships.
*** You may apply every year you are eligable. Extra consideration may be given
to applicants who have not yet received one of our scholarships.
